Kare Tempe / Balinese Soybean Cake Curry
Serves: 6 people
Preparation time: approx. 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 3 to 4 large tempe (soybean cake)
- 4 tbs vegetable oil
- 50 ml of "Kara" coconut cream
- 1 jar of Bali In A Jar Curry Paste
Cooking Method:
- Slice tempe (soybean cake) into cube sizes.
- Heat up 3 tbs vegetable oil in wok and shallow fry the tempe until brown on all sides and put aside in a bowl.
- Heat up the remaining vegetable oil in the same wok and pour the whole contents of a Bali In A JarĀ Curry Paste in and stir through until fragrant.
- Add tempe back into the wok, stir through for 1 minute and then add the coconut cream. Simmer for a further 2 minutes.
Serve with steamed white rice.
