Kare Tahu / Balinese Creamy Tofu Curry
Serves: 6 people
Preparation time: approx. 15 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 tray of fresh tofu (medium to hard tofu)
- 4 tbs of vegetable oil
- 50ml of "Kara" coconut cream
- 1 jar of Bali In A Jar Curry Paste
Cooking Method:
- Drain water from tofu and slice into half sizes
- Heat up 3 tbs of vegetable oil in a wok and shallow fry the tofu until brown on all sides. Put aside in a bowl.
- Heat up the remaining vegetable oil in the same work and add contents of a whole bottle of Bali In A Jar Curry Paste. Stir through until fragrant.
- Add tofu back into the wok and stir through for 1 minute. Then add the coconut cream and simmer for a further 2 minutes.
Serve with steamed rice
