Ayam Bakar / Balinese Spicy Grilled Chicken

Serves: 6 people
Preparation time: approx. 1 hour

Ingredients

2-3 whole of young small chicken

1 jar of Bali In A Jar Curry Paste

2 tbs of vegetable oil

Cooking spray (oil) for oven tray

Cooking Method:

  1. Cut chicken pieces open through the breast bone (butterfly the chicken).
  2. Rub chicken with Bali In A Jar Curry Paste and leave to rest for 10 minutes to allow the sauce to soak into the chicken.
  3. Preheat oven at 180 degrees. Make sure to spray over tray with cooking spray to stop the chicken sticking to the baking tray.
  4. Place chicken on tray and heat 20 minutes before turning over and cooking for a further 20 minutes on the other side.

Serve with steamed white rice.
