PEANUT SAUCE 220g
Peanut (also known as satay) sauce is the taste most often associated with Bali – it is a very common sight (and smell!) as you travel around Bali to see people cooking satay meats on skewers over burning coconut husks on the side of the street – with the skewers served with a generous helping of satay sauce. Whilst we have only included a few recipes with the peanut sauce as its base, it is a versatile and extremely easy to prepare sauce that can be used in any meat dish or BBQ.
Additionally, with its authentic flavour, this sauce provides an excellent dipping sauce for chips, carrots, celery and others. For extra heat, our Chilli Paste can be added or for extra sweetness, try with a bit of kecap manis (sweet soy sauce).
Naturally the product contains peanuts (as well as soy sauce & shrimp), and ought to be avoided by those suffering from relevant allergies.
Ingredients:
Peanuts, palm sugar, garlic, chilli, vegetable oil, sweet soy sauce, soy sauce, shrimp paste, salt, pepper, kaffir lime leaf, fried onion, water, citric acid, tartaric acid, xanthan, potassium sorbate.
