NASI GORENG

NASI GORENG/BALINESE FRIED RICE

Serves: 1 person

Preparation time: 15 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 plate of cooked rice

1 tsp of Bali In A Jar Nasi Goreng Paste

1 tsp of vegetable oil

A handful of chopped choy sum

A handful of chopped plain cabbage

A handful of cooked pork/chicken/beef/prawns

2 tsp of “ABC” Kecap Manis (Indonesian thick sweet soy sauce)

1 tsp of soy sauce

1 egg (fried)

2 slices cucumber (optional for garnish)

 

Cooking Method:

  1. Heat oil in a wok on high temperature, add your favourite cooked sliced meat/chicken/beef/prawns. Add Bali In A Jar Nasi Goreng Paste and vegetables.
  2. Keep cooking for a few minutes until vegetables soften.
  3. Add a plate of cooked steamed rice (after it has cooled and dried slightly is best). Stir rice through other contents. Add kecap manis, soy sauce while continuing to stir on high temperature until the rice is hot. Make sure to flip the rice over and over to prevent it from sticking onto the wok.

Serve on a plate topped with the fried egg and cucumber garnish.
