KARE TEMPE/BALINESE SOYBEAN CAKE CURRY
Serves: 4 people
Preparation time: approx. 15 minutes
2 to 3 large tempe (soybean cake)
4 tbs vegetable oil
50 ml of “Kara” coconut cream
1 jar of Bali In A Jar Veggie Curry Paste
- Slice tempe (soybean cake) into cube sizes.
- Heat up 3 tbs vegetable oil in wok and shallow fry the tempe until brown on all sides and put aside in a bowl.
- Heat up the remaining vegetable oil in the same wok and pour the whole contents of a Bali In A Jar Veggie Curry Paste in and stir through until fragrant.
- Add tempe back into the wok, stir through for 1 minute and then add the coconut cream. Simmer for a further 2 minutes.
Serve with steamed white rice.
