KARE AYAM/BALINESE CHICKEN CURRY

Serve: 4 people

Preparation time: approx. 15 minutes

 

Ingredients:

1 kg chicken thigh fillets or 1 kg chicken pieces

1 jar of Bali In A Jar Chicken Curry Paste

4 tbs of vegetable oil

1 cup of water

50 ml of “Kara” coconut cream (optional)

 

Cooking Method:

  1. Heat oil in a curry pot/wok on high, cook chicken thigh fillets/chicken pieces until brown on all sides.
  2. Combine the whole contents of a bottle of Bali In A Jar Chicken Curry Paste into the pot/wok containing the chicken, stir for a further 5 minutes  while adding water. Cook on high until water is at boiling point.
  3. Turn stove to a low temperature and let the contents simmer to make sure chicken is cooked on the inside.
  4. Add coconut cream (optional) and mix through the contents.

Serve as main meal with steamed rice.
